We are finding that our product description data is regularlly and systematically disappearing. Based on my initial assessment I believe what's happening is that admins are going in to edit a product (which happens frequently) and then quickly changing an option and submitting the udate form. But, the Telerik editor sometimes takes a while to load and populate the product description tabs with data. I believe the product is getting updated and submitted before the Telerik editor populates the product description and thus all the product description data gets wiped out during such updates. The form is long enough that you can open the form and click a checkbox without realizing that the production description data hasn't loaded yet. It happens often enough that we are constantly having to reenter product descriptions on many of our products. I might suggest that the Update button not be shown or activated until the form has completely loaded and populated with data.

I'm getting back to this issue and I'm finding much of the time the product description tabs never load when I edit a product. In IE8, I find that if I refresh the page a couple of times, it will eventually appear. In Firefox, I can almost never get it to show up even with over a dozen page refreshes (sometimes it shows up fine the first time but if I have to do a page refresh it never comes back). I'm running the latest version of Firefox (3.6.3). When I use Firebug in Firefox, I discover that it is displaying an error on the page “Sys.InvalidOperationException: owner must be set before initialize” (I'm getting the same erorr in IE too).

I believe this is the reason my product descriptions keep getting wiped out. Have you seen this behavior and do you have any ideas on how this may be resolved?

Thanks for the response. The tabs, the Telerik editor, nor the data appear. The entire section remains blank and it generates this error. When it loads correctly, they all load normally and this error isn't reported. The only abnormalies in my DNN configuration is that I'm using ifinity URL Master and extensionless page names.

Just in case it helps, I'm including a screen capture showing what I see, or don't see. I've also used Fiddler to capture all the filenames being captured in the page load, in case that is of any help to you.

I built the server hardware myself (as I've been doing professionally for the past 24 years) on an Intel platform and installed the OS and everything else by hand personally. It's located in Dallas' premiere co-location facility (as it has been for the past 16 years (with numerous upgrades since 1994). I've been running a stable DNN intallation on this box for the past 7 years and all my other modules (about 100) are running fine. Here are some of the spec:

• Windows 2008 Server, 64-bit SP2
• IIS7.0 Integrated Pipeline
• .Net 3.5 SP1

No, there is no error logged in DNN or windows. This is simply an error that appears in the browser periodically - like a javascript error notification.

The tabs display fine when logged out (viewing the product detail page). But, as soon as I log in, the tabs, the Telerik editor, and all tab data disappears (whether viewing the product detail page or editing the product record). Strange behavior. Not sure where else to look. Perhaps it is a Telerik editor issue but I haven't seen this behavior in any other module.

I'm traveling to this client's office on Monday and hope to have it resolved by the time I give them a face-to-face demonstration of the site.
