Descrepency between old and new products

Hi all,

I just updated our Smith Cart from version about 6 months back, to the latest version. In the newest vesrion, the cart allows us to use "view details" and "add to wishlist" buttons, which I was unable to do before. After upgrading, all of my old products which were already in the system do not show the new buttons. However, when I add new products, they show the buttons on the product listing form.

Is there anyway to fix this without deleting all of the old products, and re-creating them? I would really prefer not having to do this because it will take a lot of time.

Hi Ricky,

Which version of the Cart did you upgrade from?

Do you wish to enable the "Show View Details Button" and "Show Add To Wishlist Button" features for all of your products? If so, I would recommend comparing the data of the newly added products to the products added in the previous versions as fields may have been added which need to be initialized.

I appreciate the help.

I did some further looking into the problem, and found out that its totally different from what I thought it was. The reason the wishlist/view details buttons are not showing up is because I have product variants on all of my current products.

This is unfortunate, because I would like to use the wishlist feature but all my products have variants...

Hi Richard,

You can enable the Wishlist button through the Product Details Settings which will allow your customers to select your variants before adding to the Wishlist.
