Deactivate - Disable Product Not Working

Smith Cart 4.93, DNN 6.1.5 (142).

Selected "Deactivate Products" and it removed it from the product list, but you can still find the product in some searches, and you can still order the product. So I also checked "Hide Product (All Roles)" and with both of them checked, you can still order the product. The only thing that changed with one or both boxes checked is it removed it from the product list.

Ideas? Thanks

When a product is deactivated the product is not displayed in the catalog and prevented from being added to the cart using a querystring. What do you mean by "you can still find the product in some searches" ? Do you mean searching from the buynow module search, the smith search module, dnn search or google search?

This is the url of the product. The product currently has "Product Deactivated" and "Hide Product (All Roles)" checked. You can add the product to the cart, checkout, etc. We had to stick the huge "SOLD OUT" on the image to stop people from ordering them.

Bump for this. SOrry, I need to get this one fixed. She will sell the product again so we don't want to delete it.

How are your users acquiring the link? When a product is deactivated the product is not displayed in the catalog and prevented from being added to the cart using a querystring. You will be able to view the product if the ProductID is passed in a link to navigate to the Product Details page.

Hello,

I have sent the issue of a disabled product being displayed when linked directly to the ProductDetails module. In regards to Google, a possible solution would be for you to delete the product. When you delete a product from the manage products screen it sets a flag called "logicallydeleted" in the products table so the record is not actually physically deleted from the table.
