After upgrading our test site to 4.99 we are having issues with inventory management for variants on the add to cart page.
Here are the new options the settings page gives you for inventory control:
If 'Enforce Inventory Management on Add To Cart' is ticked the customer is still allowed to select and add to their cart a variant which is out of stock. The customer then has to fill in their details and select a shipping method in their cart and click continue before the message "Product" is currently out of stock, please remove the product from your cart to checkout appears at the top of the page.
This is a general message covering all variants of that item, so if a customer had bought a large and small versions of a product 'A' and small was out of stock they would think that they had to remove the large version too.
Why does an 'out of stock' message not appear when a customer selects an out of stock variant? Or simply have the module remove that variant option until it is back in stock?
Surely the two 'Enforce Inventory' options are exactly the same?
