Good afternoon,

I have a product specifying "Require Coupon". But during checkout it allows me to go right past the screen with the coupon entry field and continues as normal.

Am I mis-interpreting the function of this option?

I am on DNN6 and just installed SmithCart 4.99

Which Shipping Method and Tax Setting do you have configured in your Cart Settings?

Currently I have free shipping and am using tax tables, wtih 6 states selected although I will probably move to zip2tax.

Hi Scot,

As a temporary solution, you should be able to enable "Inventory Management" in the BuyNow settings to require the coupon on the Cart page.

I set inventory management on and if I leave the coupon field blank and click checkout, it does indeed indicate that the coupon is required and prevents progression...

...HOWEVER, if I key a coupon and do not press "apply" but instead click proceed to checkout, it allows it, EVEN THOUGH THE COUPON WAS NOT APPLIED and the amount due does NOT reflect the coupon. Of course I can go back and click apply to get the amount correct but this sort of bypasses the purpose of the required coupon...

the check for required coupon should be that a coupon has been applied and not merely that there is something in the coupon field...

This issue has been addressed and we have sent you the fix. The solution will also be available in the next release of the Cart.
