I have read through the documentation and it states that Smith Cart (BuyNow) is integrated with iSearchable.  I am using a 3rd party Search Module that generates results provided by iSearchable.

However, when I go to Host > Extensions > Smith.BuyNow > Edit, the Is Searchable line is labeled as FALSE.

How do I enable the iSearchable functionality so that the Is Seachable line says TRUE?

Does this also apply for the Category, Manufacturers, and Videos modules?

Thanks,

Christian

Hi Christian,
What version of the cart are you running? In Smith Cart iSearchable is implemented in the data access layer (DAL) which is accessible from all modules in the cart. The iSearchable business controller class is referenced in the product details module, if you look at the module definitions for the product details module you will see isearchable = yes with the business controller class reference. Long story short you don't need to enable it in the buynow module, since its enabled in the product detail module isearchable is turned on to index products.

1) Go to Host|Extensions, under Modules, click on edit for Smith.Buynow.
2) Under Module settings, change the Business Controller Class to Smith.DNN.Modules.BuyNow.ProductsController
3) Under Package settings change the Email Adress to support@smithcart.com
4) Click Update Extension and Is Searchable should update accordingly.

Both of these settings should be corrected in the manifest for the next release.

I hope this is of some help to you.

Dwayne

Yes, that has now made the BuyNow module iSearchable: TRUE.  Thank you very much.

Are there plans for doing any of the Videos, Category, or Manufacturers modules?

Hi Christian,

Implementing iSearchable on the Videos, Category, or Manufacturers modules has been added to our development list but it has not been prioritized into programming yet since our programming queue is currently full with paid customer projects.

If you have budget in your project and would like to be provided with a fixed quote to sponsor a portion of the programming, please submit a quote request at the following link: https://www.smith-consulting.com/serv...

Thanks,
