Hi,
How can I hide the Register Now and Sign In options on the Mini Cart page?
My customers must already be logged in to get to the cart. I've tried various combinations of options to no avail.
Running DNN 5.6.6 with Smith Cart Demo 5.0
Thanks for any help given,
Jim.

Hi Jim,
Not quite sure what you mean by "hide the Register Now and Sign In options on the Mini Cart page". Are you referring to the Product Details module? Please provide a screenshot if you can to help better explain.
Thanks

Hi Kevin,
Here is a grab showing the areas that I'd prefer not to show.
Thanks,
Jim.

Hi Jim,
Is the screenshot above from the Product Listing or Product Details page?
Also, please post a screenshot or your Sign In/Registration Settings in the Cart Settings?
Thanks

Hi,
Here's a grab of the Sign In \ Registration screen from the cart settings. The earlier grab was from the product listings page.
Thanks,
Jim.

Hi Jim,
According to your settings, the Register Now and Sign In options should not be getting shown at all. Do you have any errors messages being displayed in your browser or the DNN Event Viewer?
Thanks

Hi,
There are no browser errors. Tried on IE9 and latest Firefox.
The following two entries show in the DNN Event Log after saving the Cart Settings -
Error : Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Stacktrace : at Smith.DNN.Modules.BuyNow.BuyNowSettings.d(String carrier)
Thanks again,
Jim.

Try re-saving your buynow settings.

Hi,
Thanks for the prompt response.
I've tried that already, with no luck. I've tried scrapping and recreating the module again. Restarted DNN and Server a couple of times. Still no luck.
Thanks,
Jim.

Your DNN event viewer log says you are getting an error saving the carrier in the buynow settings. Try selecting a different carrier in the shipping section and see if you can save your buynow settings without getting an error in the log.

Hi,
I've played around with this, and still get the two errors in the DNN Event Log. I don't require shipping, but didn't see an option in the Shipping and Handling Setup for no shipping, so selected free shipping, as well as selecting Hide Shipping in the Hide Fields section of the General Cart Setup.
However, even if I select Hide Shipping, it still comes up as the second of four tabs during the checkout process. Not sure if this is by design or symptomatic of my problem.
When I click on Save Settings, I do get the Settings Saved message shown. I've hardly changed any of the configurations from their defaults, other than adding a checkbox on the Confirmation Page Setup (Before Payment) page through the menu.
Any fresh ideas?
Thanks,
Jim.

HI Jim,
I would like to have you login to one of our public test portals and configure the cart the way you have your's configured and try to replicate the issue you are reporting. This will determine if the issue you are reporting is with the latest version of the cart or an issue with your specific DNN portal/Cart install.
Please send an email with a link to this post to kevin@smith-consulting.com and I will provide you with credentials to login.
Kind Regards,
Kevin
