Hello -

I just installed the latest version of Smith Cart on my temp portal for testing before implementation.

I have found that the product drop down sort functionality no longer works on any of my buy now pages.

I installed 5.1.7 and all my product sare gone on the BuyNow page. I can go to them directly. They are in Manage Products. So are all my Categories and Cart settings. They are just not on my BuyNow (Store) page. I will be asking my host to restore from my newly created backup. Please do not release Beta versions of your software.

Hello,

I will look into the sorting issue you reported. To expedite this, I would like to have you login to one of our public test portals and configure the cart the way you have your's configured and try to replicate the issue. This will determine if the issue you are reporting is with the latest version of the cart or an issue with your specific DNN portal/cart install.

Please send an email with a link to this post to kevin@smith-consulting.com and I will send you login credentials.

Regarding your Products not showing, try doing the following to see if it fixes the issue on your site:

  1. From the store admin menu, click on the page template button to go into the page template editor and delete all your page templates.
  2. In file explorer, navigate to your \portals\[portalid]\smithcart\tenplates folder 
  3. Delete all the files in the \portals\[portalid]\smithcart\templates folder
  4. Reset iis and restart the application from the dnn host menu
  5. Go to product listing page and see if your products are displayed.

Thanks Kevin,

I am currently unable to test this feature, as my hosting provider had to take my temp site down because it was crashing their servers.

We'ere thinking Smith Cart might be the culprit.

After migrating our temp site to our live servers, the issue seems to have resolved itself.

Thanks again for you help, and sorry for the trouble. I do love it when problems fix themselves though :)
