I have the Buy Now module installed, but when I try to set up my payment gateway I get an invalid vendor error. I am using the PayPal Payflow. I’ve spoken with PayPal and they tell me that the Payflow setup no longer has the PayPal Manager feature so I am unable to authenticate the module with PayPal. Are there any updates to the module that will make it work with Payflow?

Can you post the exact error message you are getting. Also, is there an error in the dnn event viewer?

We couldn't complete your payment.

Status : failure
Message : Invalid vendor account

The only dnn event I get is when I try to move away from the submit order page after I get the invalid vendor error.

InnerException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

The message you posted is a message back from the payment gateway so the cart has successfull sent the transaction to the gateway and that is the message the gateway returned. Sounds to me like a setup issue with your account I would contact paypal to inquire that all your account settings on the paypal side are correct.

What country have you set your home country to in the cart settings?

I was googling this error message and found this post that says its an issue with the login credentials:

https://www.x.com/docs/DOC-1884

"Invalid Vendor Account" means you've not given valid user/vendor/partner/password information. And, if you've not received those items from PayPal and/or your account isn't activated yet, of course you're going to get that error.

"Invalid Vendor Account" message can also mean that you are attempting to use "test" credentials against the "live" server

If I am not mistaken paypal manager is the virtual terminal correct. Payflow not coming with paypal manager doesnt sound right how would run reports to see transactions at the gateway or issue voids/refunds?
