We have literally 100's of thousands of products, and most are sold based on product series. For example, if you had a book and wanted to sell the book or sell each page individually. And if you sold each page individually each page could be sold in paper or electronic format. If each page were sold in electronic format they could be in 2 different electronic formats. 1 electronic format would have additional options that are optional. The other electronic format would have an option that is required, with several sub-options under it, of which one must be selected.
So it would look like this;
Page > Paper > paper options (options not required)
> electronic > format 1 > format 1 options (options not required) > format 2 options > format 1 options
> format 2 > format 2 option (required) >format 2 option sub-option (one selection required) >format 2 option sub-option >format 2 option sub-option >format 2 option sub-option >format 2 option sub-option
Compounding this is that our customers typically purchase several "pages", but not the entire "book". When they purchase the product(s) they do not have to purchase any options. But when they do purchase options 99% of the time they purchase the same format and options for every "page".
Therefore, to require them to go to the product details page for each product or "page" dissuades them from completing the purchase...too many back and forth steps.
So we would like to be able to do one or both of the following:
1. Display options selections on the "buy.now" page for each product instead of requiring them to go to the product details page.
2. Display the Add to Cart button and the Options button above/below each other and have both be visible when options are available but not required
I've attached a diagram that depicts what we would like to accomplish. How can I do this?
Thank you,
Dana Richard
