During the checkout process, the back button (the Smith Cart one, not the browser back button) doesn't seem to work very well as far as I can tell.

Here is an example: charging international handling fees for non-Australian orders.

1. Add an item to the cart. So far handling = $0. Correct.

2. Check out, enter shipping details (Australia). Handling = $0. Correct.

3. Go back, decide to buy something else too. Now Handling = $X in the shopping cart. Huh?

4. This is corrected by the time payment is processed, but it doesn't offer much confidence to the user when the handling fee jumps around.

There appears to be a general issue with the back button, including this other one:

Is this a big thing to fix?

Nobody else has found a problem with the back button during checkout?

It'd be good to know if it's just my problem, or a cart issue...

What version of the cart are you running? Also, are you able to replicate this on the www7 test portal?

I'm using 3.96.

Hmm. Unable to replicate on the test portal.

Any ideas? I suppose an upgrade... but wondering if there is any other known problem the I've got wrong.

I dont remember anyone reporting this issue and I dont see anything in the change log http://www.smith-consulting.com/produ... specifically for that error. Since you cant recreate the bug on the www7 test portal the issue has either its been fixed and upgrading to the latest version will fix your cart or it could be something with your portal or dnn install independant of the cart. I recommend installing the latest version of the cart on a test dnn install on your server to verify the issue is fixed on your server before upgrading your cart.
