I am adding products to the store, and it seems like the product container just keeps stretching. Is there a way to pick which products will be displayed when the customer visits the store?
I see the ‘featured’ checkbox, but even with this unchecked, each product I add to the store is showing up…so it makes a super long webpage.
Thanks!

In the product setup screen there is a checkbox titled "Deactivate" if you check it will not display the product in your store. Also in the buynow module settings under the product list setup section you can select the number of columns (1-4) to display your products may prevent stretching your skin.

See I want to display the product in the store, I just only want it to show a certain 4 or 5 to start with, so I don't necesarily want to deactivate them (unless that only stops it from showing BUT still keeps it in the store and remains searchable). Otherwise It will show 400 products at a time. Switching it to columns doesnt help either (but its cool to know I can do that, it stretches the page too much :-/ )

Is there a way to just set it so that after 6 products it stops listing products or creates a second page unless the user actually searches for them?

There is no way to hide a product in the product listing but still have it active and searchable. The product listing page has paging built in so by default only 10 products are displayed per page. If you would like to change the number of products displayed per page see the following forum post http://www.smith-consulting.com/forum...

Thanks I will go through and try that. Will this change work in the demo mode? I have to present this new store to some people and if I can make changes like this in the trial mode that would be great.

Yes that change will work with the trial version but the cart trial version limits the display to 7 products and also the paging is disabled.
