Hi Gianni,

In v.4.57 we added logging of the full PayPal post URL to the DNN Event Viewer so that we can see the actual parameters being passed to PayPal. We have tried formatting the amount with both commas and decimals points and neither has seemed with your PayPal account. This issue may be related to account setup or something in the post URL that is logged to the DNN event viewer and email it to PayPal to find out what the issue is with the test transaction you are running.

Thanks,

Dear Kevin,
I saw DNN Event Viewer and I find it "

Stacktrace: : in System.Threading.Thread.AbortInternal() in System.Threading.Thread.Abort(Object stateInfo) in System.Web.HttpResponse.End() in System.Web.HttpResponse.Redirect(String url, Boolean endResponse) in System.Web.HttpResponse.Redirect(String url) in Smith.DNN.Modules.BuyNow.Confirm.b() in Smith.DNN.Modules.BuyNow.Confirm.a(PaymentStatusInfo A_0) in Smith.DNN.Modules.BuyNow.Confirm.Submit() in Smith.DNN.Modules.BuyNow.Confirm.btnSubmit_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)

Nome server: ALMANIA

"
But I can't find full logging paypal.
I have the versione 4.58,
where can I find it?
Best regards
Gianni

Hi Gianni,

Are you receiving this error in the Event Viewer before being directed to PayPal, or after you are redirected when returning from PayPal?

Thanks,

Hi Kevin,

I am using the store in Portuguese and have an error when trying to pay with paypal. I think it is the same error the other people are talking about.
When we use the store in English it works fine.

The message is "O link que você usou para entrar no sistema do PayPal contém um valor de item com formatação incorreta." which means something like that "The link you used to enter at the PayPal system content an amount with incorrect format".

Could you help us, please?

The store need to be ready this week.

Thanks,

Patricia

Hello,

i'am in the process of selecting a shopping cart DotNetNuke 6 module to apply in the shoping store that i am developing for a client, and for that reason i'am trying your evaluation shopping cart version 4.67.

I'am portuguese but the site is suppose to be multi-language, with the currency to "Euros"

The problem is the comunication with paypal, every time i tried to submit an order using the Portuguese Language Flag

I underline the previous statement because the paypal error, "You have entered an invalid amount. Please make sure that all punctuation marks are in the correct places and that you only include the numeric portion of your amount. For example, if the amount is €5.00 EUR, you would enter 5.00." it only gives when a Portuguese or Spain Flag is set.

If i set the american flag, everything works ok with paypal.

So, now that you know exacly how to reproduce the paypal currency error that this thread is writing about, please, can you review this error so that me and other customers can use your shopping cart and produce a new version for download.

See the attached image,

Regards

Hi,

from what i read in your support section, it is suppose to give customers and potential customers the minimal support by using this forum, so you say.

I've posted this issue last month and i've sent you an e-mail to support@smith-consulting.com describing the problem i found, also describing you how to reproduce the paypal error in your cart so you can fix it as soon as possible.

Until now, i haven't received any mail nor a single post repply.

I hope you have a lot of customers, because by the response time you give to posted  issue that goes on since last year, i'am disapointed.

So, are you going to fix the issue and let me, and other users buy your product or not?

Regards

Hi Ricardo,

Here are a couple posts I found that may help in understanding the issue you are having in your multi lingual portal

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/F...
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/F...
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/F...
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/F...

From what I have read the built in multi lingual feature in dnn where you can click a flag and it dynamically changes the language only works on static content (i.e. html module). In order to localize the "dynamic" content from modules (i.e. SmithCart), you will need a third party tool/module. DNN's roadmap includes localization of dynamic content somewhere in the near future.

Thanks,

Hi Kevin,

first of all, i want to thank you for taking some time to answer my question.

I've read the links you have posted, but i thing you misunderstood the bug i've posted related to paypal connection.

I'm a developer also and what i'm telling you is that the bug is in the comunication with paypal, when you send the amount in a format that is not acceptable by paypal, every time the flag language is not set to american.

I don´t see how this issue has anything to do with the content translation, since you probably have a class of your own that makes the integration with paypal.

This integration code is on your side.

If it wasn´t in https i would take a look using fiddler, comparing the two different paypal requests (EN and PT)....

Thanks again and tell me something...
