We continue to receive orders with incorrect member prices by role. At first we could not reproduce the problem but now have figured out that some customers are adding items to their cart before logging in. This creates all sorts of down stream customer support headaches with incorrect emails, invoices, taxes and issuing credits for errors.

We considered using add to cart requires login. This is not a reasonable solution because many new customers will simply abandon the site when they are forced to register before ordering. Like a real brick and mortar store shoppers do not have to fill out a form to put things in their cart. When they checkout and present their member card and/or coupons and prices are adjusted accordingly.
  1. When items are added to the cart before checkout member prices do not take effect.
  2. Quick Order Entry does not support member prices by role.
  3. DNN rules are followed but accurate explanations are not displayed for password failures.
I could post a message saying our online system can't handle orders unless customers register and login first. Or is there a way to run a custom code or a stored proc to recalculate the order in the confirm step to ensure customers are charged the proper prices before processing the payment online?
