In the documentationand in the forum I see the list of fields that can be populated using the Excel import mechanism. I ahve a few hundred products and I want to set the site up as a display only catalog. To do this I would need to set the "Hide Price" and "Hide Quantity" fields. I also want to be able to set the SEO related fields. I would also like to manage the other fields such as "Deactivte."

Is this possible or am I going to ahve to go in and manually edit each product? Ideally, all of the fields should be allowed to be loaded via the import mechanism.

Thanks!

Mark.

The built in product import in the cart currently supports the following fields/spec in the following forum post and documented in the cart manual:

https://www.smith-consulting.com/Forums/forumid/4/threadid/7799/scope/posts.aspx

I agree that it would be nice to have every field in the database available for import but currently only the fields listed in the spec are available for import. If you would like a quote to add additional fields to the import spec please send an email to sales@smith-consulting.com.

Thanks!

you should be aware that imports do not work as described in the manual. They are supposed to update products based on SKU if they already exist but this is broken!
