Hi Smithcart, your cart is great and gets better all the time .. however, IMHO the weakest link currently is the ability to reformat the display of the product list and product details pages. I have done this a few times with each upgrade and frankly it's not fun at all. On ProductsList.ascx there are embedded styles, linked styles, an over-abundance of tables and table attributes, and width/alignment stuff that is rendered at server, as well as single or multi column display items that make this task extreamly tedious at best.

What I would really really like to see in a future version is a relatively simple token based RTF template that I can use for styling these areas. One that would easily allow me to use my own html and css to create the layout I want. I also end up with issues on the tabs where all of the tabs render on the first tab only. I know some of this comes from the skin I may be using but it would be great to gain some better control over these items .. perhaps an option not to use tabs, or at least isolate/define them better in css so they can't be affected by the site skin.

Hi Kelly,
Currently, in the cart there are many BuyNow module settings that allow you to configure the look and feel of the product listing page which is a plus for users who dont know html/css. This allows users who dont want to get involved in html/css they can simply check a few checkboxes and change the layout of their products but for power users like yourself who are comfortable with html/css I agree that a templating system for the product list and detail page would be a nice feature to have in the cart. We have been looking at different options but have not decided on a path to take yet. If you have any ideas on a templating approach we would definitely like to hear your feedback. Also, if you have made changes to the product list or product details ascx pages and and impoved the html/css please send your changes to support@smith-consulting and will review and add to the main cart build so you get those changes if you do any upgrades in the future.

Also, not sure if you have seen this "how to" forum post yet that describes how to style the cart per portal and also explains how to style your cart so you don't lose your changes when you upgrade, here is the link http://www.smith-consulting.com/Forum...
