We are looking at an issue with the search engine pulling up items that are not in a category, but we've noticed in our installation that the search engine indexes and presents items that are not shared and not in the same store as the user is in when the search is performed. Is there any way to prevent this?
We have store A and store B. They are both in the same portal. (There is a store C on the same server in a different portal that isn't affected.) Our customers go to Store B to shop and order but much of our inventory is in Store A and shared so Store B can use it.
When one is in Store B and does a search, it can return products that are in Store A and are not shared. Is there a way to prevent this, or limit the search results for Store B to items either in Store B or shared from Store A?
It looks like the search engine for Store B is indexing all items in the Store A / Store B Portal, even if they should not be considered an item in Store B.
Should the expectation be that the search engine store results per store or per portal?
Thank you,
George
