Hi Eric,

The USPS Shipping Calculator already supports International shipping. Is there a specific Shipping Method that you are looking to use that isn't currently available?

Thanks!

If only that were true. if it is true, then that's one more thing of many. Just ask P. Berteau in Paris.

Eric,

I just tested calculating a Paris address. See the screenshot below.

You know, that's so great that ALL my issues work for you. Too bad you don't run my 2 e-commerce businesses.

Eric -

Running an Ecommerce site requires maintenance to fix things that come up that are not programming bugs. The environment that the cart is running in is constantly changing. If a site works for a period of time and then stops working it’s not usually a programming bug. The issue could be caused by data conditions in the database, settings not configured in the cart or products not setup correctly. Ecommerce systems require IT personnel for ongoing care and maintenance. It is not the case that you deploy an ecommerce site and never have to work on it again.

The following are some of the possible reasons there is an issue on your portal:
  • A conflict with another DNN module in your portal being poorly written and could be the cause of the issue
  • DNN portal issues - this could be caused by upgrading your DNN portal to a new version, corrupt dlls or many other things.
  • Incorrect web.config configuration
We are available to look at your site to determine the cause of the issue or you can seek other quailed consulting.

Look, I create and manage more than a dozen DNN websites with a dozen DNN modules. From rotators, to blogs, to galleries and social media modules. All sites work fine. Some running DNN 6.2.4 and others up on 7.0.5. All modules are current and work fine. Just Smith Cart is ALWAYS an issue. I don't claim to be a developer. I'm a designer. With 14 years of web design experience.

Eric -

Which version of the Cart are you running? Are you running the most current version? There are a number of fixes listed in our Change Log regarding USPS at the following link - http://www.smith-consulting.com/Produ...

Not sure which modules you are comparing the Cart to but keep in mind that the Smith Cart module is the largest module available today in terms of number of tables, sprocs, dlls and ascx pages that need to be installed so your server environment/dnn portal needs to be tuned accordingly.

Unlike a rotator, blog or gallery module, the Cart is an ERP level system which requires ongoing maintenance as I have explained.

We are available and happy to help you resolve any issues you are having but if you are unwilling to take our recommendations or suggestions there's not much help that we can offer.

Hope this makes sense.
