I found they were called tokens and I have found the list you can add into the e-mail template, now my question is can I add the custom fields from the registration to come through on the e-mail?
Here is the list if anyone else needs them.
[USERNAME]
[PASSWORD]
[COMPANYNAME
[FIRSTNAME]
[LASTNAME]
[MAILINGADDRESS]
[PHONENUMBER]
[EMAIL]
[INVOICENO]
[ORDERTOTAL]
[CREDITCARDLAST4DIGITS]
[CUSTOMDROPDOWN]
[TEXTBOX1]
[TEXTBOX2]
[TEXTBOX3]

We have inherited a site to work on and our client has requested that they would like the e-mails that are sent when a user registers to be customized. I have found that by navigating to the registration page as an admin and clicking on "Manage E-mail Templates" brings up an editor for the User e-mail template and the Admin e-mail template. When viewing the Admin e-mail template I see text like this in the textarea:
First Name: [FIRSTNAME]
Our client would like more information from the registration module to display in the e-mail but I cannot find what these variables, for example [FIRSTNAME], are named to add them into the template. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank You.
It appears that the current version running on the site is 4.36.0
