Tokens in the subject line?

I thought I might try the following email subject line for the Admin Email Template, for very quick reference in an inbox:

WEB REG - [FIRSTNAME] [LASTNAME] ($[ORDERTOTAL])

It didn't work (I got the exact text back). I've seen this in other modules; any suggestions on how to make these active? Thanks very much!

The email tokens only work in the email body we would have to make a change to the code for it to work in the email subject line. This is not in the short term development roadmap so your options are purchase the source code or submit a feature enhancement request to sales@smith-consulting.com
