To setup recurring billing through with NMI you first have to set up a plan through the NMI control panel as described below.
In order to set up a plan (for instance, 'Bill $25.00 on the 1st of each month') - you would do the following:
- Select 'Add Plan' from the menu in your NMI virtual terminal.
- Complete the form (see example below).
- Save the plan - you can then view it by selecting List Plans.
In the registration module under the recurring billing section you need to check the box for recurring billing and configure your recurring billing interval (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly) you want to offer then you need to create the plan in your NMI control panel that matches the recurring billing settings you configured in the registration module.
Once you have set up your plans in the NMI control panel, you need to do the following in the Smith Payment Registration Pro module settings:
- In the gateway setup section enter the “Plan Sku” you created in NMI as described above as the “Recurring sku”
- In the recurring setup section of the module settings do the following
- Click the recurring billing checkbox for the product
- Select the subscription interval to match what you setup at NMI
- Enter the total occurrences to match what you setup at NMI
- Click save to save your changes
