dnn 6.0

SC 4.67

I have following issue:
I have setup the zip2tax database link and it functions first time through but if I perform another order for a different location with different ship to and tax rate it remains calculated as was selected first time. In fact any subsequent order on view cart will have auto filled tax amount even before selecting the ship to address.

Hi Mark,

After calculating the Shipping and Tax Rate, do you complete an transaction before calculated the rates for a different location?

Also, please attach a screenshot of your Cart Settings.

Thanks,

After first calculation of tax rates the tax percentage stays on all subsequent transactions whether they are completed or not.

Screen shot sent to support email address earlier today.

Hi Mark,

I took a look at the screenshot you sent to support, and noticed that there weren't any states added to the taxable states list. In order to calculate the tax for multiple states you must add the states you with to charge tax in to the Taxable Sates list.

Thanks,

Kevin:

I added the other states and even after doing this the problem remains. First order placed and transaction completed locks in the sales tax. Subsequent orders when you view cart will show the 1st orders tax rate and checkout even when changing the state still shows first states tax rate.

Help this is critical and stopping us from going lice on the store.

What do I need to do to get support? I need help with this and my other checkout Authorize only issue. Please help.

Hi Mark,

The reason the tax rate from the previous order is being applied to the next transaction is because the tax rate information is stored in session. This can be tested by clearing your browser's cache and cookies after a transaction or decreasing your session timeout in your web.config file to close the session sooner. Typically, multiple transactions with different shipping addresses from the same machine don't simulate a typical scenario as the users will most likely be using different machines.

Thanks,

Kevin thanks for your reply however this is a typical usage of our store. There will be corporate buyers that are buying on behalf of multiple locations. What can be done about this?
