I had to reinstall my cart 4.67 because of some corrupt items in the store... I followed the backup procedure after removing the faulty products that were causing errors. I uninstalled everything and started from scratch.

On my DNN 5.6.3 instance... I have made sure that teh test SMTP message comes through on the admin settings and also created the stock email templates in the email templates settings page of the cart. I also made sure emails were in teh general cart settings page.

However, after and order is placed and they (the client) is sent back to the site from the gateway. The receipt page shows up - no problem. The order is recorded. But no email is sent.

The odd thing is - when I look at the order and click the send order email button - I get this:

Order Confirmation Email Sent Successfully

and the email then comes through... so the email is working... but why not on newly placed orders? Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

Here is the event viewer info frmo the admin area... any details that would show why the intial emails are not being sent:

I possibly have a similar (or the same) problem.

Same behavior, similar event viewer, SC4.67, clean install, all set up correctly, verified on two test portals (albeit not clean ones).

It is definitely a bug because emails do send from ManageOrders, but do not send at the time of purchase.

I have tried resetting IIS, clearing the DNN cache, restarting the application. The test SMTP message comes through... and as you stated the email can be pushed from the manage orders... but I cannot get emails to generate upon placing an order. I have even recreated the email templates just to be sure... any thoughts?

Hi Guys,

Just closing this thread, but programming has determined the cause of this issue and the fix will be in the release of v.4.72. If you would like to receive a beta v.4.71 version of the Cart which includes the fix before the release of v.4.72 please email me at kevin@smith-consulting.com and I will send you beta v.4.71.
