tax issue using tax table, version 4.67

Hi, Kevin,

I read the tax existing issues in the forum, then I also like to report the similar issue in Tax using tax table. The shopping cart item cannot recalculate the tax when I change the shipping address from NS (Nova Scotia) to BC (British Columbia).

I set up Tax table for HST in Canada:

AB 5.0 (%), BC 12 (%), MB 5 (5), NS 15 (5), ON 13 (5) etc.

I choose a product, then add to cart, then tax will not refresh with shipping address tax state I specify. Similar issue "Tax Calculation Problem 4.67" by Hon D on 11/29/2011.

Hi, Kevin,

I had the problem related to tax table in Canada province. Do you need more information in order for you to answer my question? Or, do you think that I should use sandbox to test and verify the problem over there?

The test case is the following:
1. I place an order using Vancouver, BC address, the tax rate is 12%;
2. Then I place another order, I change the address to ON, but recalculate the shipping, tax rate still 12%, not 15% ON has;

Facts: Tax table
BC 12% HST
ON 15% HST

Ideal result: If the shipping address is BC address, apply 12% tax rate when pressing recalculate the shipping; else if the shipping address is ON address, apply 15% tax rate when pressing recalculate the shipping;

Question A: Do you think that recaculate the shipping button should consider tax rate also? I am using tax table, the new shipping address has a different tax rate - HST.

Question B: Do you think that recaculate the shipping button should recaculate the tax also?

Please advice me what I have to do if I can work around this problem.

I tried to find the feature on your forum, do you have a feature to allow me to get notified when you answer my question, such as email notification.

I am compiling a list of the problems I have before I test paypal payment. I have to open the forums and check if you answer my question or not, 4,5 times a day.

Regarding the tax recalculation issue which you have reported, this issue has been addressed by programming and the solution will be available in the next release of the Cart. You can also refer to the Change Log to the left of the forum for any updates, fixes, and changes.
