Hello,

Recently our customers have been complaining about an issue with our Online Store. When they have completed their order, they have to click Submit before being taken to the PayPal website. For some users, this works fine and have no issues. For other users, they click Submit and nothing happens. They cannot get past the last checkout screen.

This is very frustrating because I have tested the store and for me it works fine. This has happened to several customers, so something is going on that I cannot figure out. I'm wondering if it is related to old browsers such as Internet Explorer.

Current store version: 4.86.0

I'm getting these Admin Alerts in the Event Viewer:

Stacktrace: : at Smith.DNN.Modules.BuyNow.Confirm.AddStoreOrder(Int32 PayHistID, String orderStatus) at Smith.DNN.Modules.BuyNow.Confirm.ProcessStatus(PaymentStatusInfo status) at Smith.DNN.Modules.BuyNow.Confirm.Submit() at Smith.DNN.Modules.BuyNow.Confirm.btnSubmit_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)

Hello,

Which version of DNN are you currently running?

Which PayPal gateway do you currently have configured in your store?

Are there any similarities between the orders which are experiencing the issue? Such as product ordered, Shipping Address, Billing Address, Discounts applied, customer being logged in or not etc.?

Thanks,

DNN Version: 06.01.03 (108)

PayPal Gateway: We are using PayPal Website Payments Standard. I've checked the configuration settings, and as I mentioned I've tested it by playing an order and had no issues myself.

When logging in as the SuperUser Account, under Host Settings - there is a section called Payment Settings. Currently, it is mostly blank. Does that section need to be filled out? Could that be part of the issue?

I am unsure how to check similarities between customers who have had issues because they were never able to place their orders. I do know that customers are required to Log in for checkout.

Hello,

No, the DNN Payment Setting will not affect the behavior of SmithCart transactions.

I'm sorry but without being able to reproduce the issue I am unable to troubleshoot any further. I would suggest asking your customers which reported the issue as there must be some difference between the transactions which are producing this issue and the ones you are running personally.

If the cause of issue cannot be easily determined I would recommend having an expert look into this. If you do not have the resources in-house, we are of course available to research and troubleshoot the issue for you. If you would like to hire us, please review our support options here: http://www.smith-consulting.com/Forum...

Thanks,
