I've tried every type of help suggestion I could find here and on the zoom developer page. It simply won't work. Site is http://honolulusoap.onewaveclient.com and I'm testing it at the product here...

Have you installed the zoom package? I had this issue before I realized I needed to install the lightbox package to get the lightbox effect.

Here are the instructions to setup the Zoom javascript and css support files:

  1. Extract zoom-files.zip to a new folder on your PC or Server.
  2. Copy the jqzoom.css to your \CSS folder off the root of your server DNN install.
  3. Copy the \JS files extracted to your \JS folder off the root of your server DNN install.
  4. Copy the zoomloader.gif in the \Images folder extracted to your \Images folder off the root of your server DNN install.
  5. Open up the productdetails.ascx page located in the \desktopmodules\smith-productdetails folder and uncomment the zoom script section at the top of the page.

If you open up the productdetail.ascx you will see the following at the top of the file:

<%--Zoom Live Server--%>
<%--<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/css/jqzoom.css" />
<script type='text/javascript' src='/js/jquery-1.3.2.min.js'></script>
<script src="/js/jqzoom.pack.1.0.1.js" type="text/javascript"></script>--%>

<%--Zoom Localhost--%>
<%--<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/dnn551cart/css/jqzoom.css" />
<script type='text/javascript' src='/dnn551cart/js/jquery-1.3.2.min.js'></script>
<script src="/dnn551cart/js/jqzoom.pack.1.0.1.js" type="text/javascript"></script>--%>

To get zoom to work on your live server you uncomment the section titled "Zoom Live Server" if you are running from localhost you uncomment the "Zoom Locahost" section.

However, I would like to know if it's possible to have this done on variant images. I have multiple sizes per product, each with it's own image, is it possible to have the zoom effect on the variant images?

Accepted Answer

Ok, so got the zoom feature working. THanks for the help. BUT why does the "ZOOM LOADING" show up on products that have NO zoom image uploaded? We don't want all of them to have the zoom feature, only a particular category needs this feature, so the "Zoom Loading" on products that don't have zoom images uploaded doesn't show..

Product WITH ZOOM Image link...

Product WITHOUT Zoom image uploaded, but ZOOM LOADING still shows

Hi.

Just purchased a couple of days ago the smith cart module, however on the zip file I have downloaded I cannot see the zip file for the zoom effects you mentioned nor the readme file.
I have also dowloaded a trial version to see if the zip file was in there, but I cannot find it.

Kindly please advise.

Thank you

Gabriel

The zip files to enable the zoom feature are no longer needed, all the zoom support files are built in and installed when you install the cart module to dnn. To enable the zoom feature go to the product detail module settings and click the radio button option to enable the zoom feature.

I enabled the zoom feature on the product detail but it's not working. When I scroll over the image, the faded progress window pops up with message "Loading Zoom" and nothing else happens. The DNN version I am working with is 5.6.2, and the Smith Cart version is 5.00.00. Please help.

Hi Alexey,

Have you uploading Zoom images for your Product by clicking on the “Product Zoom Images” sub menu button in the top navigation of the Product Setup screen?

My product pic is 320 X 213. If I put same size pic into zoom images then during zoom it just displays the whole pic. But when I put the full pic like 3000 X 2000. Then the zoom works. So is there a specific size picture should for zoom in relation to the product picture? Could it be twice as big as product pic?
