Hi, I would like to know if anyone has managed to get Google Checkout working with the Smith Cart. I have been trying for over 2 months now but can't even get the Google Checkout button to appear on the checkout page. I have tried everything that the Smith Consulting people have suggested - I have checked my settings in Google, I am certain the the ID and Merchant Key are correct but still cannot get it working. I could accept the problem was on my side if I could actually see the Google Checkout button and then get an error message when clicked - but this is not the case.
I would be really grateful for any comments on the use of Google Checkout - my client is withholding the final payment as this was in her original spec.

Hi Glynis,

The Google Checkout gateway was added in the release of SmithCart v.4.99. Which version of the Cart and DNN are you currently running?

I a purchased version 4.99 on 22 May 2012 but upgraded to V 5.0 on 28 June 2012 due to some problems. Can I refer you to my previous posts about Google checkout https://www.smith-consulting.com/Forums/forumid/1/threadid/13408/scope/posts.aspx

Hi Glynis,

I have setup a similar scenario on my test portal and tried re-produce this issue but I was able to successfully checkout via Google Checkout. I would like to have you login to one of our public test portals and configure the cart the way you have your's configured and try to replicate the issue. This will determine if the issue you are reporting is with the latest version of the cart or an issue with your specific DNN portal/cart install.

Hi Glynis,

Per you original forum post: Google has changed their test system from using the sandbox to a new method. If you currently have a Google Checkout Sandbox setup, you can still process test transactions but new accounts cannot.

This Google Checkout change is on our dev list to be resolved in a future version of the Cart however due to our programming queue currently being full with paid customer projects work has not been started yet so I can’t give you a completion date. If you would like to have this item prioritized into programming right away please submit a quote request at the following link. This issue has been resolved and the solution will be available in the next release of the Cart currently scheduled for release next week.
