I am looking at shopping cart solutions for a customer, and one option that came up was having the store in a separate DNN installation from their regular site.  If we did that, could we somehow link a "specials" module or something like that, that would be populated with data from the store site?

Thanks for the quick reply. So the featured products module could be used in a separate installation, or would it have to share the install (like a child or parallel portal)

Sorry it's been a bit, I've been testing upgrades to the site (DNN and modules) and I'm now getting ready to test this out.

Originally I had thought of a separate site, however I am now thinking of a child portal on the site to host the store. I need to think more about that.

Thanks, that really shows the flexibility of the product. I'm now doing some research into what is the best way to install within the same DNN installation, as an extension of the existing site, or as a child module. What are most of your customers deploying the product as, a separate store, or within the original portal? Have you found any pros and cons of doing so?
