Whenever we have a payment processed by paypal, our payment status always says false. However if I log into my paypal account, I see the payment there as confirmed. Could I possibly have a setting wrong or do I have to go in and set every payment status? I see where I can do that in payment history, but does that mean I have to check paypal for every payment and then manually go in and set them to true? Also, the transaction id is not showing up when I view the orders?

Which paypal gateway are you using: standard, payments pro or payflow pro?

This is for a client and they set up the paypal account. It looks to me like it is just a business account.

There are 3 different gateways that paypal offers. Are you using paypal website payments standard, paypal website payments pro or paypal payflow pro?

When the user returns to your site from paypal is when the cart changes the payment status to approved. You will need to configure the return url in your payal account in order for paypal to return back to the cart after the user has paid.

Here is a post on configuring the return url at paypal:

So I followed those steps, and tested but the payment status still says false. Is there some setting in the cart module I could be missing?

Are you returning to your site after making payment at paypal because the status is not changed unless you successfully return to your site from paypal.

So when I make a purchase, it takes me to the the page that says if you are not redirected withing 5 seconds click here. I can see it is doing something but it never redirects me. If I click on the click here link, it doesn't redirect me either. Do I need to contact paypal about this? Here is my settings in paypal

I contacted paypal and they said that even thought I had the return url set, it was being over ridden by the software. Here is the email I had them send

As discussed in our call earlier today, your button coding is currently redirecting your customers to another website that is not the location set on your PayPal account which is listed as www.yandasmpa.com. You will want to contact your 3rd party shopping cart for assistance in determining why they are attempting to forward your customers to another location as opposed to the location on your account.

He said it was going to yandasmpa, but it had something like Storefront/tabid/99/ctl/ProductDetail... on the end

I'm not sure, but I think we're experiencing the same issue.

I just posted this, http://www.smith-consulting.com/forum...
