I have been trying to set up SmithCart using the First Data Global Gateways. We were using the Link Point API and getting A critical error has occurred. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

We spoke with SmithCart a few days ago and were told to try the more current First Data Web Service. Our client signed up for that and we still get the same error with that configuration. We have used a test authroize.net account and the orders go through, but our client paid for this service with First data and this cart seems to be our only option that is supposed to work with it, and we would like any suggestions to resolve this quickly.

We are on DNN version 5.04.04. We are on a full trust web server and have ensured that we have opened ports and tried removing the firewall.

Can you post the error from your dnn event viewer?

In order to use the First Data Global Gateway Connect web service you will need to install a certificate on your IIS web server. For more information on installing the First Data certificate on your web server see section 15 page 61 of the First Data Global Gateway Connect web service integration guide.

I have had a developer install the certificate on the web server. When I tested again, I still got A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object. I have attached the error from the event viewer. I tried both the first data link point and webservice options, and checked to make sure that the correct account info and PEM files were added. Please assist.
