It appears that the SKU from the item variant doesn't show up on orders; the SKU in the order lists all show the parent item SKU. The item description and price is ok do, however, show the proper description and price.

Is there a way to set this up to help ensure out order people can ship the proper item?

You are correct currently in the cart the variant sku is not be saved in the order detail the main product sku is being saved. We already have this on our feature enhancement list but it has not been prioritized into programming yet.

I see this as one of the only drawbacks of this cart. Has anyone found a workaround? I have a client that needs to track variant sales.

Starting with cart version 3.9 the variant sku is being saved and also the veriant inventory is being managed (decremented) if you check the box to enable inventory management.

Are all the variant SKUs being saved? for example color, size etc? In the order detail it still seems to be the main products SKU only
