Hello, I'm having trouble with some of the design elements. If you look at my page http://proplatez.com/shoponline.aspx you'll see how far apart the columns are.. I want them more like the ones on Smith's website as an example.

On the product list page (productlist.ascx) I've edited the Width.. which used to say 100%..

<|asp:DataList ID="dtProductslist" runat="server" Width="400px" RepeatColumns="1" RepeatDirection="Horizontal"
EnableViewState="False" OnItemCreated="dtProductslist_ItemCreated" OnItemDataBound="dtProductslist_ItemDataBound"|>

No matter what I change it to it effects absolutely nothing.. I don't know what the problem is.

Anyone help?? :)

Thanks!

Try changing the width to pixels with your desired width in the following line of code:

<table runat="server" id="tbMain" visible="true" width="100%">

This effected the table that consisted of the search/sort criteria but I've noticed in the code that the product listing columns are within a separate table right below it. I tried changing the "tbMain1" table and it helped a little bit.. Still not what I need and can't figure it out. The table structure is confusing me for whatever reason.

Is there any way the example on Smith Consulting can be pasted here so I can see the code on the "ProductList.ascx" page? The columns are real close together.. Not sure what I'm missing here.

Click on the link below and you'll see my dilemma.

Thank you for your help!!

The width of the product list in the buynow module is ultimately driven by the available width of the pane you add it to in your skin. Here are a couple items you can try in your skin that will increase the width of the product listing:

  • Increase the width on the outer table or div of your skin
  • Increase the width of the pane that you add the buynow module to

Here is the code from the productlist.ascx page on our site I think the only thing that we changed was the "col width" statements on the table in the datalist highlighted in yellow below:

<%@ control language="C#" autoeventwireup="true" inherits="Smith.DNN.Modules.BuyNow.ProductsList, App_Web_productslist.ascx.54f2e0e1" %>

OH MY GOSH!!!

HAHAHA... I figured out my problem. It wasn't the skin, and it wasn't anything on the Cart css or ascx.

I had "Show member Price" selected in the settings, and my container background was black... and I haven't fixed the stylesheet for this type of background, so ... the text was to the right of the products!!!

lolol..

So it was stretching the container out and I couldn't see the text at all..

So sorry.

Good thing to know though for those who have black backgrounds.

Thanks for your extended help on this issue that wasn't really an issue at all!
