Hello,

I have hooked up the demo. I created two categories, and three products. I associated one product to one category, another product to the other category and third product not associated with any product. Two of them are featured products and one is not.

When I go to the cart homepage I see all three products listed. If I click any of the category links I still see all three products. I don't understand how the category system is supposed to work. I would think when I click one of the categories I would see only the product that exists in that category.

Any ideas?

Did you set up the categories by selecting the Category menu at the top of the item setup?

... because if you set the category in the main item display, that is no longer used. You need to select the categories under the Category setting at the top.

Netprocity: Do your categories contain anything in the URL keywords?

I don't think the category module works when a category has a URL keyword.

Happy to be corrected here, but I have replicated this on a brand new install, on my own existing website, and on the Smith Cart demo page.

In the category module settings try filling in the "BuyNow Page Name" field.

1. What if it is on the same page as the buy.now module?

2. When you enter a page name, is it the whole URL, the "pagename.apsx", or something else? For example what would I enter on the www9 test site?

3. And how is that related to categories not filtering when a category has a URL keyword?

Thanks for your help with this.

Hello,

Thanks for the comments. The answer was that I needed to remove the keywords from the category setup pages for each category. Now the filtering works fine. However, what if I want to use keywords for the category? It's one or the other?

Thanks
James

Programming is looking into the category filtering with the url keywords and I will postback when I have more info or a hotfix.
