My client has requested the following:

1. She has non-profit organizations that don't get charged sales tax. Is there a way to handle this?

2. Is there a way to create a "Pickup in store" option for shipping? I saw how to setup some custom shipping options but getting them tied together was slightly confusing so if you had a really quick answer that would be helpful.

3. Is there a customer manager? Can you edit a customers information? Or just look at it? I'm a little confused as to how this works.

Thank you,

Patrick

Current answers:

1) I have a similar issue; sales tax or taxability is either global, or on a per-item basis. There is currently not a way to mark a customer "Tax exempt". It's something that is needed, however... perhaps based on a role?

2) You can do a custom shipping method, and in the cart setup do a "Combine shipping methods", then you will have your regular shipping method (i.e. UPS), and whatever custom methods and prices you have defined.

3) There is not a customer manager in the cart; my understanding is that some of the information is picked up from DNN, the majority is stored in the table Smith_Customer.

On question #3 regarding the customer manager Smith Cart has customer management capability built in. From the store admin menu you can click on the "Manage Customers" or "Manage Orders button. If you click manage customers you can search, sort and filter customers on any filter then drill into the order detail for the customer and edit and save customer info. If you click manage orders from the store admin menu the cart will return a list of orders sorted newest to oldest that includes the customer name, if you click "Select" next to the order it will take you to the manage order detail page where you can edit and save customer, order and payment info.
