We are using Paypal Standard checkout. DNN5.5.1 SC3.88

Our customers are confused during checkout because the Pay step is skipped over.

1. Welcome
2. Ship
3. Pay
4. Confirm

Is step 3 skipped because the shopping is configured to process payment on Paypal standard?

Yes if you configured your payment gateway for paypal standard the step 2 (pay) screen is skipped because users are entered their credit card info on the paypal site. Here are a couple solutions for you to help your users:

  1. Use a payment gateway that remains on your website the entire checkout like paypal pro or authorize.net
  2. Change or remove the progress image at the top of the chekout screens in SC
