Kevin,

I signed up for a test account with Authorize.net.

While testing authorize.net for recurring billing I encountered what seems to be several bugs in the cart. Here is how you can replicate them:

 1) Have a "Monthly Donation" product setup with a recurring payment flag, user entered amounts, and monthly frequency. Add this product to cart WITHOUT changing the amount. Then change the amount and add the product AGAIN. You will notice that this time the new changed amount was not added to the cart, instead the amount submitted the first time is being added to the cart regardless of what amounts you are entering in text box.

2) Click on the product to go to the Product Details page and you will see that the product price box is empty, when in fact it should show 50, which is the default price I entered for the product.

3) After adding the product to the cart, go to check out and remove all products from the cart to make it empty. Now notice that the TOTAL at the bottom is still the same, even though the cart is totally empty.

4) When you finally submit the product after checkout. The Authorize.net receives it as an ordinary transaction and not as recurring billing.

Please I need these to be resolved urgently as I need to bring my site live within a week.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

 - Syed

Hi, Syed

  1. Login to Authorize.net
  2. Select Virtual Terminal from the menu.
  3. Select Virtual Terminal Setting and the bottom of the page.
  4. Check the boxes for the recurring billing information.

Determine which fields should be viewed and/or required when submitting a transaction through Virtual Terminal. Check the "Required" box to require a value for that field before the transaction can be processed. Check the "View/Edit" box to allow the field to be viewable and editable. Selecting "Required" also automatically makes that field viewable and editable.

Thanks, Kevin
