Deactivated Products

I have a client who links directly to products when he is having a sale. He usually sells out of that item during the sale an deactivates the product. However, if you still have the link to the product you can still access that product and add it to cart. The customer can't purchase it with the 0 inventory but with them still able to access this is unsettling for my client. He is running version 4.0, is there a fix for this?

Hi John,

I have been able to replicate that when you link to the product detail page passing the product ID in the querystring the Cart will display the deactivated product.. I will send this into programming and will post back with any updates.
