I get an error when trying to buy a product using custom ship methods with fixed amounts.

A critical error has occurred.
Input string was not in a correct format.

I have it set up for a flat rate of $10 Australia wide or free pick up from Ashgrove.

If I select free shipping I can get through to Paypal. How can I make it work for a flat rate delivery?

Hi Robert,

So you want to have two shipping options? If that is the case then in the Cart settings enable the "Combine Shipping Methods" feature. Then In the Admin menu under Shipping, create a custom ship method titled “In store Pickup”.
And configure the charges that go along with it. This will add your custom method to the Shipping Method dropdown list on the Cart page and will give your customer the option of paying the flat rate of $10 or use the in store pick up option.

In the Manage Cart Settings I can see "Combine Shipping & handling" under "Shipping & Handling set up" but can see "Combine Shipping Methods" which is checked.

I have also checked the Custom Ship Methods with Fixed Amounts box.

The in the Store Admin main Menu, in Shipping,  I have set up 2 custom methods, one for $10 Aust Wide and one for Pick Up for $0.

When I get to Checkout and am asked for details, the last choice is Shipping Method which if I select either option I get "A critical error has occurred.
Input string was not in a correct format" without clicking Proceed to checkout.

How do I fix this?

Hi Robert,

"Combine Shipping Methods" is in the Cart settings in the Shipping and Handing Setup section right about Shipping Tax Calculation screenshot is attached.

When “Combine Shipping Methods” is checked the cart will
fill the dropdown list of shipping methods on the cart screen with the regular shipping methods selected for the carrier (UPS, USPS, FedEx or Canada Post) and custom shipping method(s) defined in the custom shipping methods setup screen. The custom ship methods will appear as the last item(s) in the list of shipping methods.

Doesnt seen to exist on the version I have which is 4.3.1.

Hi Robert,

You only use the Combine Shipping Methods with the Shipping Calculator. To offer the two shipping method you desire, create another Customer Shipping Method and call it "In Store Pick-up" and enter the Ship Method Amount as $0. This will give your customers the option to pay the $10 for shipping or free pick-up at the store,
