Hi Guys,

We have two major problems which has now put our project behind by two weeks.

1. Smith Cart returns DECLINED message to the site after a Virtual payment has been made through MyGate even though I have confirmed with MyGate that the transaction has gone through successfully.

2. The currency is changing at random from South African Rands (R) to US Dollars ($).

This is putting a major delay on our deadline and need urgent help with this. If there are API changes that have happened at MyGate, can you please check their API for these changes? I expect this to be their latest API. http://mygate.co.za/images/PDFs/myvir...

Here are the specs we're using again.

DNN .5.6.2
Smith Cart: 4.43.0

We appreciate your feedback regarding this MyGate issue and thank you for posting their API spec. We have been integrated with the MyGate Payment Gateway for over a year now and we have not had any such issues reported to date. As you know, MyGate has changed their API for the MyGate Enterprise Gateway, but we have not been notified of any changes made to MyGate Virtual Payment Gateway API, however programming is currently researching this. When a Payment Gateway changes their API and software has been integrated to communicate with the gateway, it's not considered very good practice to go without notifying the software companies, which in turn "breaks" their integration. Unfortunately this isn't always the case as there are scenarios where the change goes unnoticed unless reported, i.e. the difficulties you are having. Since you are running an older version of the Cart could you try to replicate this issue on our test portal running v.4.52? This will determine if the issue is with the latest version of the cart or an issue with your specific dnn portal/cart install. Regarding the currency changing at random, is there a certain sequence of events that can replicate this issue? Or can you replicate this on our test portal? Without being able to replicate the issue, makes it difficult to pinpoint exactly where the problem is.

We are still experiencing this problem of the currency changing at random even with the latest version. I've sent you screenshots and will email another two today.

Hi James,

Is there a certain sequence of events that I can follow to replicate this issue? Or can you replicate this on our test portal? Sometimes the causes of the issue may depend on how it was invoked, so it is important for us to know precisely what you did.
