Hi

Have a client with DNN 6.1.2 and v 5.0 of smith cart.

Set up Google Analytics in Smith Cart back in September and got data through for the remainder of the month.  Since then nothing.  Code is still in Smith Cart and Analytics is still configured for e-commerce.  There are sales showing for October and November in Manage Orders for those months.

Any ideas?

Regards
Ian

Hi Ian,

If this was once working and then it suddenly stopped working, can you provide more info about what changed in your environment that caused it to stop working?

Have upgraded your DNN instance or upgraded SmithCart?

Thanks

Thanks for the response Kevin.

No changes to either DNN or Smith Cart and Google analytics is working for other aspects of the site.  Got a sale show up in Analytics yesterday so I'm very confused about what has happened to the sales in between.

Hi Ian,

Are there any similarities between the orders which were not being recorded? Such as Product ordered, Shipping Address, Billing Address, Discounts applied, customer being logged in or not etc.?

Thanks

Had two more sales yesterday not showing.  Different products but nothing that stands out being different from the one that worked a few days ago.

Hi Ian,

Can you test a checkout using the same Products which didn't show up when your customers ordered them to confirm if the issue is with the Product Ordered or something specific to your customers order such as Shipping Address, Billing Address, Discounts applied, customer being logged in or not etc.

Thanks

Got power DNN to increase the logging history and noticed this with a sale yesterday that didn't show up in analytics.  Got the following admin alerts with the first two being 1 second after the order.  Looks like they are related to the Paypal IPN.

Hi Ian,

Which Payment Gateway do you have configured for your store?

Are the errors being logged whether the customer is logged in or not?

In order to help troubleshoot this issue please provide the following:
  1. A screen shot of your BuyNow settings; General, Shipping and Tax sections
  2. Screenshots of your Payment Setup screens; Payment Gateway, Payment Zones, Payments Methods screen

Thanks

Hi Kevin

Gateway is paypal standard, no users login to purchase on this site.

Do you have an email I can send the screen shots too?

Ian

Hi Ian,

Here is a guide to adding images to your posts. Using the attachments function within the forums does not work at this time: http://www.smith-consulting.com/Forum...

You can also submit them to our Help Desk by emailing them to helpdesk@smith-consulting.com

Thanks

Was this issue resolved? We need to purchase an e-commerce suite that is compliant with Google ecommerce analytics and I have noticed that many DNN e-commerce modules include this as a feature in their list but I have found that few actually work. Please advise.

Hi Deborah

Never got it sorted. S.C wanted me to pay to have it fixed. I was happy with that so unfortunately I've begun moving my clients to other platforms.

Ian

I can confirm the bug that Ian reported.

Since switching to 5.0, google analytics has never recorded a sale of any kind (Paypal, Google Checkout, Manual Gateways). I have double and triple checked that my configurations are correct.

All sales pre 5.0 we're being registered by analytics.

It's not a show stopper bug, so I've never reported it until now.
