I am running into set up problems that are likely common, but I cannot seem to find resolutions in the forums.

Successfully installed SmithCart trial version: 5.0. (I have not yet purchased a license.)

Problem #1: Cart Settings
Hit "Cart Settings" button and receive this error: "A critical error has occurred. Could not load type 'DotNetNuke.Entities.Content.ContentItem' from assembly 'DotNetNuke, Version=5.2.0.275, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'."

I read in a thread that upgrading to DNN v.5.6 may solve the problem. Is this DNN version required for SmithCart to run? (Hitting "Manage Products" causes the same error.)

Problem #2: Add Products
Hit "Add Products" button and receive this error: "Error: is currently unavailable. DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Could not load file or assembly 'Telerik.Web.UI, Version=2010.2.713.35, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=121fae78165ba3d4' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference."

Is a Telerik control required for SmithCart?

Hi Fred,
Smith Cart v5.0 requires DNN 5.6+  and Smith Cart v5.26 requires DNN 6.15+.  Smith Cart uses the telerik controls that come with DNN.  If you are running Smith Cart v5.0 then upgrading to DNN 5.6+ should fix the issue.

Important - Before upgrading your DNN please make sure you have a full backup of your file system and database in case you need to rollback.
