Can you please explain the options we would have for Quickbooks integration and how it might work.
Smith Cart comes integrated with QuickBooks Merchant Services (QBMS). The way it works is the user enters their info including credit card number in the cart checkout then when they click process payment the cart sends the transaction to QBMS for authorization and returns an approved or declined message. All the info saved in the cart database.
If you are running the web version of quickbooks then the credit card transactions are automatically available in your account. If you are running the desktop version of quickbooks or are running quickbooks from your file server then the credit card transactions must be downloaded from the quickbooks virtual terminal to your local copy of quickbooks.
The cart also has a feature that allows you to export your customers and orders to an iif file that can be imported to quickbooks.
Quickbooks offers an api for real time integration of your customer and order transactions between the cart and quickbooks. We developed a c# program for another one of our customers using the QB API connecter that exports customer and order data from smith cart and imports it to QB using the QB connecter API on a real time basis.
