Hi

I am needing a way to have the ability for a customer to be able to enter different information for the shipping details and the billing details. ie The goods they purchase may be a gift so they might want to enter someone else's name and address details for shipping, but then have their details for the billing and email confirmation etc. Is there anyway to be able to do this currently ?

Hi Joanne,

Which version of the Cart and DNN are you running? How do you have your Shipping Setup configured in your Cart settings? Depending in how your Shipping is set up, your customers will have the option of entering their information in 3 different areas. The first being the "Ship To" section which is only used to determine the Shipping Rate for the package to be shipped. The 2nd would be the Step 1 or Shipping Information page which is also used to populate the customer information of thier DNN profile. And finally the 3rd is the Step 2 or Billing Information page where the customer would enter all their Payment Method and Billing Address. So the customer would be able to enter a different Shipping Address than the address entered for the Billing Information.

Also, you could enable "Show Special Instructions" or "User Defined Textboxes" located in the Cart Settings in the Confirmation Status Page Setup(After Payment) section, to be added to the Confirmation page, which would also give the customer the ability to enter a different information.

Hi Kevin

I am using DNN 5.6 and cart 4.52, I  have my cart configured to currently be accepting Paypal only payments so that does not enable a different address to be entered via the billing process.

i Had really wanted an ability to be able to enter a delivery address or special instructions on the confirmation page, then also change the shipping information label  to customer information.

Hi Joanne,

Another suggestion may be the "Insert Custom Checkout Page" feature located in the General Cart Setup section of the Cart Settings. This option allows you to insert a custom page after the Step 2 checkout page. This is useful if you would like to insert a custom “Agree to Terms” page or an up sell page to cross sell the user on other products in your store.
Enter the full URL for the custom checkout page you would like to redirect to after the user to after the Step 2 checkout page. For example, http://www.mydomain.com/mailto.aspx. To redirect to the next step in the checkout from your custom page just cut and paste the URL from cart “Confirm” page as the “href” property of you hyperlink or button.
