We have purchased and installed the Billing Manager module, tried to test with a few customer account, emails are not delivered. Since we do not have any SMTP issue on our DNN implementation, I'd like to know why it is not working and what the solution would be. In addtion we are still waiting for the license from you, not sure if this is related to the matter.

Also, some hosting companies/email service providers don't allow replacing the "from" email with an email address other than the one you authenticate with under the dnn host settings smtp section. For example, if you are using google apps, etc for your email server then they will replace the "from" address with the email account you authenticate with in your host smtp settings. Alot of email services consider this a relay which spammers are famous for. What email service are you using for your email?

Scott,
I have other DNN modules working just fine with the existing SMTP settings under Host settings. It is only the Billing Manager that doesn't work for email traffic. We are using our own internal email server. Can this be related yo Billing Manager application? Maybe licensing issue?

The key difference between the billing manager module and the other modules that are sending emails in your portal is that the billing manager allows you to set a different "from" email address from other than the one you authenticate with under the dnn host settings smtp section. This can be considered spam if not explicitly allowed on your email server/firewall. Do the other modules that send emails from your portal allow you to configure a different from email address from the module?

I think I found the reason, I installed the licenses and set the email address under Merchant Admin then all started working.
