I just found Smith Registration component and it looks like very good functionality.

I am starting simple and have one product define that a user can subscribe to monthly.  In the configuration of the product, I specified 

Recurring Billing Options
(Applicable to Authorize.Net, PayPal Website Payments Standard, First Data, BluePay, MyGate, eWay and NMI gateways)
Enable Recurring Billing:
Subscription Interval:	-Select-   Weekly   Every 2 Weeks   Monthly   Every 2 Months   Quarterly (Every 3 Months)   Semi-Annually   Yearly
Total Occurences:	("9999" = Infinite recurring billing)
Start Recurring Billing Today Prompt User for Recurring Start Date Pre Defined Recurring Start Date
Charge Recurring Amount Up Front:
Use Fixed Recurring Amount:
Recurring Amount:
Recurring Message:

When I process through Step 1 and Step 2, it never prompts for a date. After step 2 it throws an error stating the start date was not specified.  Did I miss configure something?
