I've set up and saved 2 product-specific email templates. I cannot use the 2nd one

Within a product listing, I choose Emails. In Product Email Setup page I select the 2nd in the list, then enter an email address.

When I click Submit, the selection reverts to the first product email template.

Suggestions?

You can only configure one product level email per product. If you have defined 2 product level emails for a single product the cart will pick up and send the first one in the list. To fix the issue, from the Manage product level email screen simply delete the product level email you do not want to use so you only have one product level email per product.

Hope this helps!

I  defined these 2 templates via the Email Templates option in the Store Admin. That's at the store level, not the specific product. Where would I define multiple templates for a single product?

When I edit the product and choose "Email", the Product Email Setup opens and contains a dropdown to select from the templates. I can only select one. That always reverts to the first one created.

It appears that you cannot have multiple product emails that can be assigned to different products.

All Email Templates are created in the Email Templates section of the Store Admin Menu.

Type > Product Level Email Template

Currently you can configure one product level email per product.

If you would like to send multiple Product Level Emails we would need to program the module to better suit your needs. If you have budget in your project, we can provide you with a fixed quote to sponsor a portion of the development, to prioritize and move this feature into programming. Please submit a Quote Request at the following link, we quote all enhancements below cost since it is enhancing the module and in most cases we can start work within a week. www.smith-consulting.com/Services/Req...

Thanks,

Thanks,

Hi Kevin:

I want to do exactly what you defined - configure 1 product level email per product.

I defined 2 templates, 1 for each product.

When I go to choose the 2nd of these templates for the 2nd product, the drop-down list reverts to the first one. I can never select the 2nd one.

I'll submit this as a bug.

Regards,

Kim Wallace

Hi Kim,

Thanks for clarifying, I was able to replicate the issue of the dropdown reverting to the first template when saving the Product Level Email in the Add Products screen. I will forward this into programming and will post back as soon as an update is available.

Thanks for reporting the issue!

I found a workaround to this issue. Once a template is added to the product, I can edit it to use the template I wanted. The dropdown in that section is working just fine.

Hi Kim,

This issue has been resolved and the solution will be included in the next release of the Cart.

Thanks for your feedback!
