Product list does not show selected category items after clicking continue shopping.

Select any category or subcategory then click on a product thumbnail. Continue shopping returns to the product list with the proper category selected but the wrong items displayed. The selected category is correct but the product list always shows items from the first category. This also occurs using mini-cart view cart then continue shopping.
