You have entered an invalid amount. Please make sure that all punctuation marks are in the correct places and that you only include the numeric portion of your amount. For example, if the amount is $5.00 USD, you would enter 5.00.

We just added the German Euro to the PayPal Currencies the cart sends and it will be released in cart v4.22 early this week.

Also, there were a few other PayPal currencies that the cart was not sending and they were added also:

  • Germany Euro
  • Mexican Pesos
  • Israeli Shekel
  • Hungarian Forint
  • Czech Koruna
  • Polish Zloty

The cart is now senidng all the currencies paypal supports. Thanks for reporting the issue!

In the buynow settings the home currency dropdown controls the display of the currency symbol in the store so if you select "Euro" it will display the correct currency in the cart. We didnt add Germany to the currency dropdown the euro option gives you the same thing and the cart actually uses the buynow module "home country" setting to determine the correct currency code to send to paypal. Paypal uses its own set of country codes that it requires and we added "EUR" to be sent to paypal when you configured home country to Germany in the buynow module settings.

Hi Gianni,

Which PayPal Payment Method do you have selected? Website Payments Standard, PayFlow Pro, or Website Payments Pro? How is your Store Currency configured?

Thanks,

Hi Kevin,

Thank you for your reply,

I'm using PayPal Standard and I'm using "Store Currency" -> Italy Euro - €, also I tried Euro - €.

Also I saw that shipping cost report wrong decimal... For Example  I set ship amount to € 5,20 then I find € 520,00 in my checkout...

Is it the same problem?

Best regards

Gianni

I looked at the cart paypal standard code and it sends "EUR" for the cuyrrency and "IT" for the country code for Italy which is what the paypal manual shows as accepted values for Italy. What is the error message that you are receiving from paypal I cant read it because its in italian and you posted an image of the message so i cant run it thru google translater.

Dear Kelly,

the error is "You have entered an invalid amount. Make sure all the punctuation marks are inserted correctly and

have specified only the numeric part of the amount. For example, if the amount is € 5.00 euros, you should enter 5.00."

Also look the image below...

Thank You

Gianni

Dear Scott,

I tried to change currency store in $ and paypal work correctly.

I think the problem is the currency format... seem it wants this format wit "." for decimal.

In Euro we use "," but when I try in paypal I have the error for incorrct format link.

Can you check it?

Please let me know soon ,

Best regards
